Listen to your Logic Pro mix on a phone

Set up the sender

Insert Playback Send on the intended stereo output. Open the listening link on the phone and press play. Confirm the phone’s output device and volume. Its speakers, headphones and output sample rate still shape what you hear.

The sender requires macOS 14.2 or later on Intel or Apple silicon and a compatible AU host.

1. Insert Playback Send on the stereo bus in your Mac DAW. Choose quality, start the session and confirm the meters.
2. Share the invitation. Your client opens it in a supported browser and presses play, without an account or plugin installation.
3. Make the mix change while your client listens. Use a separate call for conversation; Playback is for review, not synchronized remote performance.

Choose the listening quality

Studio streams uncompressed audio. Native receiving supports 32-bit or 64-bit float up to 192 kHz; browser playback is 32-bit float at the output device’s rate. Balanced uses 160 kbps Opus; Phone uses 48 kbps Opus, both at 48 kHz. Choose before starting; stop and restart to change the mode.

Check the actual route

Play a recognizable passage and confirm the intended bus is audible on the listener’s device. If it is silent, check the sender meters, invitation validity, browser play control and output device. Keep the mix out of the conversation app to avoid hearing two delayed copies.

Plan for the session

Up to five simultaneous listeners, with lower limits for the highest Studio formats. Each subscription includes 200 GB per monthly anniversary, counting delivery to each listener. Unused delivery does not roll over; streaming stops at the allowance until reset, without automatic overage charges.

Playback is for listening and review. It is not synchronized remote performance, a multitrack recorder or a picture-review service.

Does the listener need to pay or install a plugin?

No. Browser listeners are free and can open the invitation without a Playback account or plugin installation. The Mac sender needs a subscription.
