- It Is Written. Their site describes forty-four artistically rendered cards with an illustrated guide, conceived by Ruggiero Campopiano with Angela Songui. On the day we read it, the site was taking reservations with no payment rather than selling outright.
Why a deck beats a blank page
A blank page asks you to invent a direction, and inventing a direction is the exact ability a stalled session has temporarily lost.
A card removes the invention step. You did not choose it, so you cannot argue with it the way you argue with your own ideas, and the room gets something to react to instead of something to decide.
